Game Information
Description & Features
DOOM 64 was originally released on the Nintendo 64 in 1997 and stands as a direct sequel to the events of DOOM II. For years, it remained a cult classic exclusive to its original platform, but this modern port for PlayStation 4 allows a new generation of slayers to experience the darkest and most atmospheric entry in the franchise. Set after the Doomguy stopped the demonic invasion of Earth, the UAC facilities on Mars were quarantined. However, a single entity with vast powers, the Mother Demon, remained, using her strength to resurrect the demonic hordes and mutate them into even more terrifying forms.
Developed by Nightdive Studios using the KEX Engine, this version offers a smooth, high-definition experience with widescreen support and modernized controls. The game features over 30 levels of intense action, plus an exclusive new chapter called the "Lost Levels" that provides further narrative bridges to DOOM Eternal. With its unique, pre-rendered sprites and a haunting, ambient soundtrack composed by Aubrey Hodges, DOOM 64 delivers a claustrophobic horror vibe unlike any other game in the series. Master the Unmaker, the most powerful secret weapon in the game, and prepare for a final showdown that will determine the fate of the universe once and for all.
