Far Cry 2 is an open-world first-person shooter that takes you to the heart of a war-torn African nation. As a mercenary infected with malaria, you are tasked with hunting down "The Jackal," a mysterious arms dealer who has been fueling a bloody conflict between the UFLL and the APR factions. The game features the revolutionary Dunia Engine, which introduces incredible environmental destruction, a realistic day-night cycle, and a dynamic fire propagation system that can turn a simple shootout into a chaotic inferno. Survival is key as you manage your malaria symptoms, repair jammed weapons in the middle of combat, and navigate a massive 50 square kilometer map without the help of a traditional HUD, relying instead on a physical map and GPS held by your character.
This edition includes the "Fortunes Pack DLC", which significantly expands your arsenal with new lethal tools.
