Chernobylite is a science-fiction survival horror RPG set in the hyper-realistic, 3D-scanned wasteland of Chernobyl's Exclusion Zone. You play as Igor, a physicist and former employee of the Chernobyl Power Plant, who returns to Pripyat to investigate the mysterious disappearance of his fiancée, Tatyana, 30 years ago. The game masterfully combines free exploration of its disturbing world with challenging combat, unique crafting, and a non-linear science-fiction story where your choices directly affect the fate of your companions and the unfolding narrative.
Survival in the Zone requires more than just shooting; you must build a base, manage your team's physical and mental health, and scavenge for supplies while avoiding supernatural threats and hostile military forces. This version includes significant post-launch content and DLC expansions such as "Monster Hunt", "Ghost Town", and "Blue Flames", which add new missions, terrifying enemy types, and unique weapon skins. The "Enhanced Edition" features improve the overall atmospheric lighting and textures, making the haunting landscapes of the Zone even more immersive and visceral for PlayStation 4 players.
